> Nutritional assessment : Body Mass Index of Juan is 37.4. This is considered obese. Healthy range is 18.5 to 24.9. BMI applies to most adults 18-65 years.
Juan's currently weight is more than ideal. This puts his health at risk and is of increasing concern, particularly as he gets older.
>Nutritional Diagnosis :
Imbalanced Nutrition more than body requirement related to consumption of junk food , less physical activity as evidenced by overweight , high BMI.
>Nutitional Interventions:
1. Review individual cause for obesity .
2. Explore and discuss emotions and events associated with eating.
3. Formulate an eating plan with the patient, using knowledge of individual’s height, body build, age, gender, and individual patterns of eating, energy, and nutrient requirements. Determine which diets and strategies have been used, results, individual frustrations and factors interfering with success.
4. Formulate a daily workout plan for physical activity .
5. Formulate a daily routine with patient maintaining balance between rest and sleep.
6. Talk to Juan family regarding the issue that he is not able to cook.
7. Provide psychological support to Juan.
