What is a 'meta-analysis"? Provide an example of a published meta-analysis.
Meta analysis is the process where the scientists want to know the answer to the question they carry out many studies related to that and then finding the answer from the results obtained by the all studies. The practice of evidence based medicine is the integration of individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from systematic research and patients value and expectations. Health care decisions for individual patients and for public health policies should be informed by the best available research evidence. Primary care physicians need evidence for both clinical practice and for public health decision making. Systematic review and meta analysis are being sumbitted to and being published by biomedical journals with increasing frequency . In order to maintain the utility of such publication and avoid misguidance it is important that these studies are conducted to high standard.
