One of the most important aspects of application is that it tells the admission committee who you are, why you’re applying, why you’re a good candidate, and what you want to do in the future. It’s also called as an SOP letter, personal background, cover letter, objectives for graduate study, application essay.

No spelling or grammatical errors
Strong, clear, and concise writing
Avoiding cliches and repetitive language
Informal language should be avoided
Positive and confident tone should be kept

12 point Times New Roman font
1-inch margins on all sides
