• They assess the patient and identify all potential risk for the patient.
• Nurses plan the care for the patient on a day-to-day basis, as well as think about,'What will happen when the patient discharges from the hospital?'
• When nurses are delivering medication to the patient, they make sure that they are giving right medication to the right patient for the right reason at the right time and right dose which keeps the patient safe while they are in her care.
