The patient develops not feeling ground bottom of his feet ( peripheral neuropathy)

The nurse first action is:

D)Explain that this is expected

We explain the patient all vincristine drug receiving patient can develop this symptom.so no need to worry

Once the medication stopped the symptom go away.

It can take several months to completely heal after discontinuing this drug.but the patient feel better with in a few weeks.

We educate the patient some of the remedies like:

Apply lotions for the particular area(not feeling sensation)

Do small foot exercises to improve blood circulation.

      Massaging the area

Diet changes -include high vitamins in regular diets.

Acupuncture also best method to reduce the symptom.

Above all teach the patient to follow once the symptoms develops . We inform the doctors so the dosage also reduced means patient feels better

The symptom persist means according to doctors order we can change the drug .
