Expert Solution

Ingredients needed to carry out this process-

a.1 bottle of fruit juices which should be preservative free and must contain 100% fruit .

b.1/4 tablespoon (1oz) yeast

c.Glass containers

d. u may add sugars , its optional.

First of all pour 20z(5 tablespoon) of juice from the bottle to prevent overflow durig the fermentation process.

Then, the yeast is added into the juice.

Then, add an airlock to the top may be with a ballon and allow to ferment somewhere in a warm condition for 3-5 days.

As the process of fermentation goes on, the taste of the juice becomes less sweet and more alcoholic.

Remove the airlock and replace with the orginal cap , and store this in the fridge. Release the pressure built in the bottle every few days as needed.

NOTE: If u want a sparkling drink , then put the orginal cap after 3 days and put it in fridge , so that carbonation can build up.

To survive yeast needs sugars and other nutrients, all or most of these can be found in fruit juices . The yeast thus , breaks down the sugar present in the juice and converts it to energy in a process called fermemntation. As a byproduct of this process, the yeast generates both alcohol and carbon dioxide.

Lab Report 8: Energetics: Photosynthesis, Respiration, and Fermentation Some leaves are variegated. That is, they display colors other than green (e.g. the Coleus plant). Still other plants have leaves that contain areas of white. Use the information from the lab to identify the probable source of ATP for plant cells located in the white regions of the leaf. There is a mutation in corn that produces albino (white) plants. What is the potential for long- term survival of these white...

Newton’s 2nd Law experiment using an inclined plane Purpose This lab experiment is to verify Newton’s second law and in the process also obtain the coefficient of kinetic friction between a block and an incline. Theory Newton’s 2nd law states that the net external force on an object in a given direction is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by its acceleration, Fnet = ma, where m is the mass of the object and a is its acceleration....
