A is 20 % more efficient than B. How much time will they working together take complete a job which B alone could have done in 22 days ?
A is 20 % more efficient than B.
Time taken by B alone = 22 days
Formula used : Total work Efficiency x Time
Calculation : Efficiency of A = 120 % of efficiency of B Efficiency of A = ( 6/5 ) of efficiency of B
⇒ ( Efficiency of A ) / ( Efficiency of B ) = 6/5 Total work = ( Efficiency of B ) x ( Time taken by B ) 5x 22
→ 110 Now , Total efficiency = 5 + 6
→ 11 Time taken by ( A + B ) to complete the whole work = ( Total work ) / ( Total efficiency ) 110/11
→ 10 days :: A and B both working together will complete a whole job in 10 days .
B alone done in 10 days
