A research design is helpful for a nurse researcher for planning,implementation and analysis of a study .it is actually helpful in answering a research question.Research designs are of two types Quantitative or Qualitatitive .Let us look into the importance of Quantitative Research designs.it adopts objective ,rigorous,and systematic strategies for generating and refining knowledge.It primarily focus on deductive reasoning and generalization.Research is an important aspect of the nursing profession and is designed to provide new knowledge ,improve health care and challenge current nursing practice with new ideas.Proper understanding to select the best design to answer a research question is the first step in conducting meaningful research.Nursing practice is the accumulation of results from several studies,often using different research designs that provide enough evidence for change.Each design offers a unique approach for answering a research question.
