By the end of the week, submit a topic proposal for your Negotiation Analysis Paper. The proposal (one page) should describe the focus of the paper and your method. The negotiation can be one in which you were a participant or one in which you have been an active observer.

Some examples of applicable negotiations are:

workplace negotiation, such as a complex contract, new position, or new salary (preferred); a complex business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition;

a complex real estate purchase; a union-management contract (including professional sports leagues);

a neighborhood group negotiating zoning concerns with a city government;

a negotiation between divorcing spouses who have complex settlement issues;

and a negotiation between a vendor and business over products and services.

The above are representative examples of possible topics. The important thing to keep in mind in your topic selection is that the negotiation should be complex enough that you can preform a thoughtful and critical analysis in your paper using concepts learned in this course.

Salary Negotiation

The focus of my paper is to come up with a negotiation analysis concerning new salary in a work salary. Step by step guides that guide a good negotiation for a great salary is very important. It is therefore paramount for any person to ensure that he or she lays a groundwork long before even thinking of arriving at a negotiation of salary . One must have in mind for instance, that employers are tricky and they will rarely, make the best offer to job candidates and therefore, for them that negotiate stand a chance of earning more than them that do not. Negotiation must, therefore, be made in a constructive manner if better results are expected.

It is also important to conduct a detailed study first during the interview processes. It lets us think about, for example, the wage levels of an organization. That's the advantages, as well. This helps one think in terms of opportunities, benefits and above all wages about what one wants in a job. It's also good to avoid turkey talks in negotiation. When talking money early one doesn't win a wage agreement. For example when workers have fallen in love with you, it's wise to wait for the right time. It is also good to avoid trapping salary requirements in negotiation.

It's always safer to strike first at the moment of bid. It is here that one attempts to bargain by discussing a specific wage before the employer does it. It will start negotiations in a ballpark as initial offer will be focused on negotiation. It's also important for a person not to compromise too quickly in the salary negotiations.Even if you like the offer, it's good to say no and you'll be giving them feedback instead within a certain time frame. Articulation of one's expectations is also of paramount importance in salary negotiations. For example, inform the employer what your salary requirements are for the job. Quantify your success and its meaning above all. For example, mention the value of your quantifiable words, like the money you've saved in your business. Negotiate by telling them how valuable you will be in the job.
