SWOT is a simple framework for analysing organisations strengths and weaknesses. It also analyses the opportunities and threats that one faces. It helps to focus on strength, minimize threats and take possible advantage of opportunities.

I) The complilation and assessment of key data of communities health status, present status od medical technology or sources of healthcare funding. based on this, the capablities of organisation are evaluated.
II) The data collected is organised into 4 categories: strength, weeknesses, opportunities and threats. strength and weekneses are internal factors of organisation whereas opportunities and threats are external factors.
III) Development of SWOT matrix for each bussiness option that is under consideration.
IV) Decision making process as it determines which option will best suit the overall stategic plan of organisation.
