Democracy means it is a form of government in which the people exercise thr authority of government.democracy is direct and representative.

Dictatorship means an authoritarian form of government in which there is single leader and no toleration for political pluralism.

Democracy and dictatorship characteristics-

1)Control - In democracy learder of party have more voter is in control still they are answerable but in case of dictatorship there is just one leader who has total control over the party as well as country.

2) Fair election v/s tight control- in democracy there have different point of view and compete for the votes of the electrorate .but have fair election.In dictatorship government tightly control all aspects of state.

3)Right to express view - In democracy there is freedom to news paper to express their view but in case of dictatorship completely disragards rights of individual citizens.

4) Less control over entertainment - Democracy people can enjoy films etc.but in case of dictatorship there is only one party.all opposition banned.

5) less control over people's life - in democracy there is less control how people spend time but in case of dictatorship there is proper control over people's life.

Dictatorship is synonymous with non democracy.because there is no democracy in case of dictatorship.full control over people's life.there is no freedom Speech etc.
