Primary Care is a health care facilities provided to the people for general health services like family or general practice physician, internal medicine physician
Specially care is health care facilities for necessary care and treatment of specific health conditions like cardiologist psychiatrist.
1.ECONOMICAL -Primary care services are more economical and less costly as compared to speciality services as they are technology intensive.
2. SCOPE- Primary care is comprehensive in scope and includes health maintenance and diagnosis , patient education.
Specialist care tends to be limited in scope as it tends to be limited illness episodes or disease process involved.
3. FOCUS - Primary care focuses on the person as a whole .It takes care of the patient with variety of illness and concern with early stage of disease whereas , speciality care centres it's focus in disease or organ systems and specialised activities like cardiologist.
4. TIME- Primary is the first contact care or the facility where the patient contact first . Primary care providers serves as a 'Gatekeeper ' plays an important role in co ordination various activities while speciality care generally follows primary care.
5. INCOME -. Primary care physician continue to receive lower payment and less income while speciality care physician generally earn higher income as compared to primary care physician.
