PICOT Question base on Diabetes Mellitus:

Problem - Glycemic control and quality of life in community dwelling adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Intervention - Regular therapy and herbal medicines (eg.fenugreek, dried senna auriculata flowers)

Comparison - Regular therapy - Medications and Life style modification (diet, exercise)

Outcome - Adequate gylcemic control and Better quality of life

Does herbal medicines along with regular therapy improve glycemic control and quality of life in adults with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus?

Why this research question?

Diabetes a rising morbidity and its treatment is burdening and affects the patient's quality of life. Herbal medicines are widely used by people since it is believed to be effective but not many research is not done on that aspect. If these are found to be effective these can be used in prevention which may be cost effetcive.
