50, 96, 63, or 75?

Solutions

Expert Solution

1.Option b is correct

African- American immigrants have been shown to be slightly assimilated. Assimilation is the process of adopting the cultural values, beliefs and practices of the host culture and a gradual fading away of the cultural heritage an identity of the indigenous community. To this end, African Americans have been in the United States for a longer time period than European immigrants such as Germans and Italians, but they have not moved along the assimilation continuum to a great regard. Most of the African American immigrants in the 18th century came as slaves who are said to have adopted the religious practices, social norms of their Anglo-White masters, but they also continued to practice their own native traditions in the form of food habits, music, dance, rituals etc, which gave birth to new cultures such as Creole cultures in the new land.

2. About 75 percent of slaves can be said to have worked on the plantations in the southern states of the American confederation. The rest of them worked as domestic slaves who carried out the house keeping work for the White families.
