• Bone marrow transplant

• Cytokine therapy

• Stem cell transplant

• Immunosuppression therapy

Solutions

Expert Solution

Prognosis associated with the following treatments for aplastic anemia:-

(a) Bone marrow transplant:- Bone marrow transplantation and immunosuppressive therapy success rates ranging from 60% to 80%.
- decision is based on age, siblings donor.

(b) Cytokine therapy:- treatment was tolerable.
-The most common toxicities of grade 3/4 reported are as follow-
        thrombocytopenia (43%)
        neutropenia (41%)
        transaminase elevation (13%),
        hyperbilirubinemia (7%)
(c) Stem cell transplant:-
- A study shows that patients with aplastic anemia, should receive stem cell from binearrow rather than peripheral blood.
- it decrease the chance of rejection.
(d) immunosuppression therapy:-
- For older patients immunosuppression therapy is quite effective.
