Evaluate Function

For the given functionEvaluate for g(x) = -4x²+2

Solutions

Expert Solution

Given - g(x)  =  -4x²+2

Now we will find g(2) and g(3)

To find g(2) we have to put 2 in the place of x in g(x) = -4x²+2

                   g(2) = -4(2)²+2

                           =  -4(4)+2

                           =  -16+2

                           =  -14

To find g(3) we have to put 3 in place of x in g(x) = -4x²+2

                  g(3) = -4(3)²+2

                          = -4(9)+2

                          = -36+2

                          = -34

Since, g(2) = -14 and g(3) = -34 and -14 is > than -34

Hence , g(2)>g(3)

The answer we get after evaluating the above function - g(2)>g(3)
