Ischemic stroke is one of the common stroke due to blood clot in the brain which prevents the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain. These blood clots are usually forms in the narrowed arteries as a result of atherosclerosis. The blood clots forms in the heart or major arteries and then dislodges into narrow arteries in the brain.
In order to find out the clot, ECG, venogram and CT scan can be performed.
