1. Cryptography is the study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties called adversaries
2. While malware is a program that intentionally causes harm or subvert the intended function of the system when it enters software.
3. With cryptography information can be converted from a readable state to apparent nonsense (Young, 2004).
4. Can then be recovered to original information but only with intended recipients precluding unwanted persons hence prevents malware from entering the software.
5. The cryptography applications make use of computer passwords and the secret key that makes it hard for the hackers to access any programs in the targeted person’s software.

The software-based encryption, the actual crypt, had leaks discovered that were found to be present in Vera crypt that through it attackers already have access to the system to increase its rights
