Worldwide, sports leagues and federations addressed the coronavirus epidemic by halting seasons and canceling games.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympics is postponed to July 23-Aug and rescheduled. 8, The year 2021. Wimbledon was voided.
Both professional sports leagues in North America, including MLB, the NBA, MLS, and the NHL, have suspended games play as the epidemic spreads around the globe. The NCAA has been forced to cancel the March Madness, and several other major events have also been delayed, such as the French Open, the Masters, and the Marathon of the Boston.
NBA: After Utah, Jazz Player Rudy Gobert was tested positive for coronavirus, the league postponed the season indefinitely. The league has informed its teams that a minimum of 30 days suspension should be expected. While seeing the current situation I don't think, the pandemic is going to be contained within 30 days. So, I think the plan of 30 days suspension isn't going to work.
MLB: Major League Baseball temporarily postponed spring training and delayed the start of the regular season in reaction to the coronavirus disease outbreak. The league agreed it should postpone the start of the season for months, not weeks. It gave no timeline but confirmed that it remains "engaged to play as many games as possible before the season starts." While MLB has a more productive approach. they know about the possibility of getting delayed for more than a month. So, I think this strategy is more effective than the NBA.
