AGRICULTURE :

Malaysia is the country covered with coastal plains with natural rainforest. This country is gifted with alluvial plains. Agriculture in Malaysia playing a main role,large scale cultivation was established. The main food crop rice is grown on small farms. Rubber and palm oil are the dominant cash crops. By the early 21st century, Malaysia had become one of the worlds top producers of palm oil and includes cocoa, pepper, coffee,tea,fruits and coconuts. The tropical rainforest rich in sypecies of economically valuable dipterocarpaceae family, is of commercial importance. The contribution of agriculture within the country has been declaining for some years,it continuos to be a strong sector. It produces more than 10 million tonnes of oil per year,over half of the world's supply. Estates can now yield up 5 tonnes of oil per hectare. It is the largest supplier of natural rubber 80% of which produced by small holders. Currently Malaysia remains as one of the top 10 coconut producing countries in the world. The Department  of agriculture making a good effort with the idle land development ideas.

MANUFACTURING :

The manufacturing industries made a significant contribution to Malaysia's GDP. According to world bamk report a total of 1,020,265 workers were employed in manufacturing units in country. This country follows a oriented industrialisation process through export of goods .It is one of the leading exporter of electrical appliences,electronic parts,and components and etc. It is responsible for FDIs.Palm oil ,Rubber production industries are also playing a major role in malaysian economy.The 2012 World Economic Foroum rates malaysia as the 25 th country out of 144 countries in production process.Since 1980 this sector began to grow when the coutry transited from agriculture to industry.It is earning 8% of its national income.

SERVICES :

Education,Banking,telecommunication,transport,hotel management wil comes under service sector.This sector plays an important role in the growth of countries economy.According to World Trade Report Malaysia was ranked with 30 in .In Malaysia GDP of total service sector is more than the GDP of Malaysia.The sectors like wholesale ,retail, hotels and restaurents experienced a complete growth when it compared to other sectors.Now Malaysia become the regional center for selected services.The governments are intensified the efforts to develop the service sector as to attract the foreign investiments.Tourism was developed in private and public agencies.

CONSTRUCTION;;

Malaysian construction industry recorded a great development in the annual growth . The annul growth is 10.7% during the period of 2015. The government invested heavily in infrastucture,industrial parks,residential buildings. There is a public- partnership,consequently total private investments in infrastructure projects was increased. However low oil prices are expected to impact government capability to invest. This industry supported 5.9% of GDP. The governments vision 2020 project will also boost this sector next few years. The construction involves commercial, industrial, residential, energy and utility construction along with the transportation. It made a considerable progress to expand modernization, in 2016 - 2020 the elevanth Malaysian 5 year plant alocated for transport and logistic sector. It facilitates capital intensive construction industry with public and private collaboration.

MINING and QUARRYING :

The stastistics shows the gross domestic oroduct from mining and quarrying in Malaysia from 2000 was increasing .It is the source of the mining of crude oil resources.Malaysia blessed with various minerals . So mining and quarrying sector is very significant in Malaysia.The development of resources would directly contribute to the growth of economy.There are more than 20 types of minerals being developed in this country.For metallic minerals we can say Alluminium,Gold,copper and Non metallic like silica,kaoline,quartz.The mining industr became an upstream for the country.The country is playing its effective role in mining of these minerals for its development.
