what is the business model canvas of Apple
(key resource, key activity and cost )
Business model canvas is the structural presentation of Apple business. where each and every segment (9 segments) are defined properly and it has its clear ideology and goal which is predefined and each and every segment is systematic and well organized to achieve its target.
Now we have been asked for the 3 major components to be discussed. so we will discuss it one by one.
1. Key resource: this part basically deals with the 3 subparts,
a) first-hand design or inspiring design: it is the key factor why apple is different from others. the concept is clearly mentioned as the moto of the producer. they are always dedicated to provide their best to the customers and that leads to a different and separate soft corner in the heart of its customer. it never looks at the budget or the volume it only concentrates on the customer's requirements and the promise they are doing with the product to the customer should be fulfilled and justify the core value of the product.
b) supply chain: The second key resource is the supply chain, where it deals with the design and manufacturing and supply chain. Now comparing its competitor who designs manufacture and supply took their own time to settle. in the case of Apple, it only concentrates on its product design whereas the partner Foxconn deal with the manufacturing and supply chain where this division of labor is focused on labor division with specialization. so the product is a very signified designed one.
c) Apple ecosystem: Apple is different as it has its won environment and process that make it more specific as well as different from others. it gives more security compared to others. in simple words we can say Apple is having its won world of operation and app.
2. Key Activity: Key activity is defined with two factors, a) designing, b) branding
a) Designing: Here Apple always gives importance on its designing which is different and very clear about the customers demand. so as we discussed before it focused on the design part whereas Foxconn focused on manufacturing and supply chain.
b) Branding: Apple is not focusing on its marketing as we discussed before it gives a special response to its customers and that is all about its brand capability. it focused on branding and focusing on the creativity of the product and that leads to a marketing strategy itself.
3. Cost: Apple employs the best designers in the world with best operating points and that makes the difference between Apple and other. it has its own significance with high-quality components and superior experienc to the users. so that made Apple as an expensive one.
