There are many types of waste materials occurs in physicians office which may be less than a big hospital but it may hazardous also

Now we can see types of wastes and its disposal a)General wastes- This type mainly non hazardous include paper, cardboard , plastics cover of medicine, medicine covers etc they are segregated it well and plastic waste in that can be sent for recycling and other paper wastes are disposed by Land disposal means disposing that waste in to land areas where waste disposal is allowed. Now in hazardous and infectious wastes

Now the infectious wastes such as blood or dressing materials or pathogenic material such as parts or tissues can be incinerated and burned so they are destroyed.

The Hazardous waste material like needles sharps , syringes are collected in a tight container and kept it in safe place and it will be handed over to waste management companies they will incinerate and distroy it or recycle it if possible. Other items like catheters syringes also distroy by same method of incineration or recycling.

Chemical wastes are also hazardous they are solvents and reagents they neutralise using proper chemical materials or by chemical sterilisation and make them nontoxic. Expired tablets and pills are crushed and make them non available

Radioactive waste also hazardous generally no occurs in physicians office , if occurs they will properly dispose by geological disposal means they deeply dispose to area where no human reach, reprocessing it, or neutralise it using other radioactive agents but these are done by registered waste disposal companies.

Other type of waste disposal methods commonly used in physicians office are shredding of waste products by steam means make them into small pieces and harmless. So volume will decrease and it will be recycled or land disposed or incinerated according to type.

Then autoclaving : In autoclaving surgical equipments and all sterilized and reused in the process put in autoclaving machine and keep high pressure ( at least 15psi) and a high temperature of 121 degree Celsius for 30min under steam.

These are common methods used for waste management in physicians office.

Does the amount of hazardous material absorbed by the bodies of hazardous waste workers depend on gender? You want to test the hypotheses that the amount absorbed by men (group 1) is different from the amount absorbed by women (group 2). A random sample of 212 male workers and 114 female workers showed an average lead absorption in the blood of 12.59 (SD = 1.897) and 12.75 (SD = 0.621), respectively (measured in micrograms/deciliter).
