Case Study One:
A patient died after her third cerebral hemorrhage. When the patient was admitted to the hospital following a cerebral hemorrhage, her physician determined that she should be given a specific drug to reduce her blood pressure and make her condition operable, and he directed its administration. For an unexplained reason, the drug was not administered. The patient’s blood pressure rose, and after another hemorrhage the patient died.
1. The boy didn't revela his treatment history to the doctor properly.from the given data it is clear that the boy was drunken and took Librium.eventhough the boy was showing withdrawal symptoms.he was not an addict of any drug or I in any treatment program.the physician administread him medicine believing his words without any prior check ups .the boy also had severe blood loss following the accident.the boy didn't get the right treatment at right time which caused the loss of life.
2. Yes because the doctor administread the medicine by just believing what the boy said without any testing.so the boy received the wrong treatment method initially and this has leads to more complications and death.this can be considered as a case where all the elements required in a negligence suit are present.
3. Standard can be defined as a not a guidelines or lust of option,instead it is dit determined by a given set of circumstances that present in a particular patient bwith a specific condition at a define the and place.in other words standard of care is sensitive to time place, and person.
4. Plaintiff was injured and the defedents breach of duty caused the injury and also with I'm the tort of negligence.
5. The plaintiff was given wrong medication which leads to more complications.the doctor should have evaluated the patient thoroughly before administrating any drug medications.intial care less acts ftombthe doctor causedvlossbof life.
6. Hospital bills and pharmacy bills can be produced as an evidence of wrong prescription.the previous medical records of the patient can also be presentedvasvan evidence to prove the body was not under treatment for any problem.
7. To success fully defened vaginst a negligence suit,the defedant will try to negate one of the elements of the plaintiff cause of action.in other words the defendant. introduces evidence that he or she did not owe a duty to the plaintiff,exercised reasonable care, did not cause the plaintiff, damagae and do worth.
