Product: Ball Point Retractable pen

A ballpoint pen is a widely used pen which is retractable with the help of a spring mostly contains the following parts:

1.Tip

Manufacturing Processes of each part and material used

1.Tip- It is in hollow conical part with threading on the outer die, it can be manufactured by direct moldings like extrusion or injection molding

Material-Polyethylene naphthalate

2. Barrel-Which is the main body part, it contains all other parts in it. The manufacturing process for making a barrel will be Polystyrene.

3. Spring-Which is used for retracting the nib back into the tip after use, it can be manufactured by coiling, winding or bending

4. Ballpoint tip- It is the starting point of a pen which holds the ball and ink chamber together, it can be manufactured by machining process like a lathe or forming or casting

5.Ball: It will be half exposed outside from tip and a half into ink chamber and rolls out the ink while writing, it can be manufactured by machining process like grinding the small metal robs and other processes like deflashing
