Please provide and analysis of each nutrient: CHO, PRO, Fat, Na, phos, K, calcium, vit A, vit C, and iron
CHO: CHO is carbohydrate that is madeup of cannon, hydrogen and
o2 that contain not more than two molecules. It is a source of
energy for skeletal muscles during exercise.carbohydtare metabolism
is a fundamental biochemical process that ensure supply of energy
to living cells. CHO is a glucose that breaks down through
glycolysis and enters into Krebs cycle and oxidate phosphorylation
to generate ATP. glucose metabolism to co2, H20, and ATP in the
cells. deficiency of CHO cause fatigue, low in energy. long term
CHO insufficiency cause ketosis. fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole
grain cereals high in CHO. high CHO intake causes high serum
triglycerides and insulin resistance and causes type 2 diabetes,
weight gain, poor metabolic rate, risk of heart diseases.
PRO: protein is essential for the human body. meal, poultry, fish,
dry beans, eggs, nuts, and seeds include protein. it bold and
repair issues and make the enzyme, hormones, and other body
chemicals. protein is important for the building block of bones,
muscles, skin, cartilage, and blood. protein is large molecules
that need by our cells for functions. it has amino acids also work
as neurotransmitters. mutation in protein causes many diseases
mostly cancer. due to food insecurity many people not getting
enough protein. it causes malnutrition, growth failure, and weakens
the heart and respiratory failure and death. healthy people need
7grams of protein every day in 20 pounds of weight. A healthy
eating plate encourages people to choose healthy protein
foods.
Fat: fat is important for our body to get energy and to work
properly. the body uses fat as a fuel for energy.choosing healthy
fat is important. HDL cholesterol is good for our blood. LDL
cholesterol bad for our blood. maintain LDL cholesterol low and HDL
high to protect against heart disease and stroke. High LDL clogs
the parties and increases CVD risk. reducing the saturated fat
reduce the heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and death.
Na: sodium control the blood pressure and blood volume. the body
needs sodium for our muscles and nerves for proper functions. it is
an important nutrient it helps our body to maintain normal fluid
balance. average intake sodium per day is not more than 6g of salt.
foods like fish, canned meat, beans, poultry, frozen bread, pizza,
nuts high in sodium. high sodium intake increase the risk of heart
disease, blood pressure, and stroke. it adversely affects the
heart, kidney, brain, and blood vessels. acute toxicity from high
sodium intake cause data outcome. low sodium intake causes
confusion, headache, nausea, vomiting, loss of energy, fatigue,
irritability, muscle weakness, cramps, and seizure, a research
study found high amount of Na cause gastric cancer, osteoporosis,
and nephrolithiasis due to negative calcium balance.
