For example, in the future regardless of where you travel in the world, you may see a typical person on the street wearing a pair of Levis jeans, a Calvin Klein shirt, Nike shoes, while holding an iPhone in one hand and a cup of Starbucks in the other hand. State your opinion on this.

Globalisation and internet combined together is making the world into an interdependent global village. Internet and globalization has promoted the interests of the West, whose hegemony is propagated through the idea of liberalism, and 3rd world countries are compelled to adopt the Western way of life such as clothes , eating habits etc.

The worst consequence of this is homogenization of cultures and the loss of identity in the process of adopting a particular culture through the the world.

Different societies and culture thrive together , learning from each other how to grow and develop , maintaining one identity. Culture changes with time but drastic convergence of all into one is a recent and unprecedented phenomenon. Today we have unique emerging cultures, such as Jeans culture , Internet culture, social media culture , mcdonaldisation, etc . All cultures are becoming a part of a universal set of values and ideas, turning the world into one global culture. Integration might appear beneficial at first sight but it contains the risk of an intercultural conflict. and information through any means of media.

To this homogenisation problem , inter- cultural dialogue could be one of the best solution. World should engage with each other to keep alive the the identity and culture of all the society in the era of homogenisation.
