reduce the regular use of cars and encourage the use of public transport to travel to work. The
following table presents data on the methods of travel used by Australian workers by age groups
collected during on the census night for CENSUS 2016. The data are stored in file Assignmen
Dataset.XLS, TRAVEL sheet available in the Written Assignment folder. Using this data and
EXCEL, answer the questions below.

(b) Analyse the share of the different age groups of the total employees travelling to work,
using appropriate graphical descriptive method(s). Comment on your findings.

Age group 15 to 24years

In this age group of 15 to 24yrs 58% of employees travel by car self driving and 16% as passengers in cab which is highest when compared to any other age group.

This age group uses the public transport the most to travel.

Age group 25 to 34years

In tgis age group of 25 to 34yrs the people travel through car-self driving is 71% which is more than the age group of 15 to 24yrs.

The usage of public transport is nearly the same as the age group of 15 to 24yrs usage.

Age group 35 to 44years

The total people who are employed are maxinum in this group of 35 to 44 years and majority 76% of them travel by car self-driving.

Public Transport used by this group is less when compared to the age group of 15 to 24 yrs and 25 to 34 years.

Age group 45 to 54years

The toatl people employed in this age group are the 2nd least after the age group of 55yrs and more, Most of the people travel by car-self driving (76%).

The usage of publuc transport by this group of people is lesser when compared to the younger age groups.

Age group 55years & above

These age group people are least employed, Probably retired. Most of the people own a car and drive it to the office.

The usage of the public transport by this group is the minimun of all the age groups.

This age group opts to walk more than any other age group i,e.9%.
