Postural hypotension:

Postural hypotension is defined as the drop in the systolic blood pressure of atleast 20mmHg or a drop in diastolic blood pressure of 10mmHg within 3 minutes of standing position. Normally, when a person stands up it is the responsibility of the heart to pool blood into lower extremities. Postural hypotension is reffered as the failure of cardiovascular system or nervous systems to react appropriately to the immediate changes occurred in the body. The blood pressure falls and the person feels light headed.

Acid-base balance:

Acid-base balance is considered as the mechanism of the body to keep its fluids the right balance either basic or acidic for the proper functioning of the body. For this, kidneys and lungs work together to maintain acid-base balance of the body fluids. The kidneys regulate acid-base balance by excreating hydrogen ions and generating bicarbonate . It also helps to maintain blood plasma levels.
