Solutions

Expert Solution

Handwashing of is the first major tool to break the chain of infection in hospital.

Jason Sergi told his daughter the best thing he did today was handwashing and supported a child birth in the labour room

Jason said this to his Seven year old daughter to make her aware that this world around you is made with numerous microorganisms where some are beneficial and most are harmful causing disease. It is found in all places hence to avoid transferring these infectious microorganisms from one place to another is possible only by handwashing.

In hospital it prevents Hospital acquired infection

In home it prevents major illness of digestive tract.

Jasonn Sergi said this because he has prevented the transfer of microorganisms to the newborn which is sterile till in mother's womb until delivered into this world which is a reservoir of infectious organisms.

Hence simply by washing hand the newborn will be infectious free
