Our current healthcare system is besieged by many challenges, particularly, how to get quality services to people who need these services. Having a sufficient healthcare workforce from direct professionals to nurses to physicians is a critical part of this. Consider the region in which you live and work; what do you view as the major challenge(s) to the optimal deployment of healthcare professionals? Why is this a concern?
Major challenges to the optimal deployment of healthcare
professionals are as follows--
1.Lack of advancement opportunities.-Due to lack of advanced
technologies we dont have enough workforce for health care
professionals.
2.Low salary- Despite of working a lot day and night, our doctors
are not paid enough and are exploited to the core.
3.Work overload- Due to overload of work , doctors get saturated
from their work.Sometimes they are asked to do overtime.
4.Distorted Organisational structure- Organisations dont have
proper hierarchy and systems.
This is a matter of concern because if we wont keep our doctors ,healthcare professionals happy ,then how are we going to expect from them to give their services satisfactorily. They also try to run away from their duties . Attrition rate is too high.Shortage of primary care professionals are the biggest concern. Also the cost of healthcare has risen up which makes it non affordable for the poor people.
