Now we are going to discuss bargaining techniques.

Bargain is to bring about an agreement or arrange a treaty or prize by conferring.

Bargaining or negotiation is not a dispute ,it is an art where your brain and the ability to bring in valid points should work fast that you are able to bring the person at your opposite to where you want him or her to be.

Bargaining includes number of tactics and strategies. These are used by me in bargaining simulation role play .

Strenghts and weakness through my participation in the bargaining simulation written below..:

1.Find out exactly what you want to buy before you head out to the shops. Know the brand, the model, and any colour or size specifics..I was listening more than talking as I wanted to be calm and not to forget what I was saying rather than listening to the opponent.

2. Shopkeepers are usually most open to negotiating when the store is not busy.. I focused on time such that keeping myself in no hurry to finish this and go .

3. Another tactic ,having a friend tag along can work in your favor. It will motivate the salesperson to close the deal as soon as possible. The salesperson may even opt to leave some profit on the table and close the deal quickly rather than risk having tagalong friends mess up the sale.

4. An extra care was taken not to use any personal attacks as I was getting irritated because of the opponent.

5. I will make same offers such that making it difficult for the opponent to decline the offer.

6. Before walk into the shop you have targeted to make your purchase, visit similar stores in the same area. Shop around and check out the prices of the item you want. Ask as many questions about it as possible.

They have clearly imagined a fight to happen and made themselves ready for the same while coming to the bargaining. And when they saw that the other side was calm they also got disturbed .In alively session of haggling, tempers can sometimes flare. always keep your cool, and dont be offendable. Additionally , watch what you say so you dont offend.

My strength in the whole exercise was staying calm, showing intelligence and being focused on what they were saying made me being able to beat them with the same tactic. But at times the offers made were not fully acceptable which actually showed my weakness of not having a proper understanding. they should not be given interest free or low interest rate loans as it won’t put them in the verge of earning more and becoming a most celebrated success. While my team members saw the other way round as the best because at first such zero interest and low rate interest loans would be of much more use where there came a small conflict within us.

The important lesson learned was also that the idea should be about listening and not speaking too many words as it would leave you unsuccessful and confused without achieving what you came for.

Part A: Though it did not play a role in the video that you watched, the oxidation state of the metal cation in a coordination complex can impact the difference in energy of the d orbitals. Consider aqueous solutions of two coordination complexes of chromium: [Cr(H2O)6]2+ is blue and [Cr(H2O)6]3+ is violet. Based on this observation, make a statement about the relationship between oxidation state and the difference in energy of the d orbitals (the d orbital splitting). Part B:...
