care and rehabilitation facility, distinguish between the
regulatory standards governing each setting
The long term care is a service for both medical and nonmedical needs of people with chronic illness or disability who cannot care for themselves for long periods, long term services and supports legislation was developed as were the community services and personnel to take care of the needs of individuals with disabilities for whom the state governments were litigated,both the federal and state governments regulate the long term care services and facilities and the standards are set by agencies that pay for services, monitor quality of care and establish rules The rehabilitation facility is often a facility that provides services to patients with long term or permanent disabilities and this rehabilitation care facility may be separate entity or an area of a hospital that specializes in the attempt to restore the physical or mental capabilities of an individual with the expectation that the person will be discahrged to an alternate living arrangement.
