Discrimination existed against the black persons who had provided the service in the US military existed from its origin during the period of revolutionary war till the end of the segregation by the president Harry S.Truman's executive order 9981 in 1948.in the revolutionary war that African Americans had said on both the sides of the warin the ability and capacity of fighting both men as well as slaves.
