1.
Indirect message is a process of telling or communicating a bad news in a very soft way. This is also called buffering system in which a communicator tells the negative fact by showing some positivity.
Example: If a job seeker’s application is rejected the interviewer can use sentences like, “thanks for showing interest in the company”, “you are over qualified for this position”, “you might be considered again next time”, etc. Such sentences give some positive attitude in the mind of the jobseeker, although he is disqualified.
Some circumstances:
1)If an employee got severely injured in operation; telling such fact in front of his/her family members require indirect message like “his treatment is going on smoothly”.
2) If a supplier’s order is rejected. The concern person can tell “this is only a matter of time; you should be considered again”.
3) If there is delay in shipment. The marketing manager can tell to the customer “you are assured that such thing will not happen again”.
