The PoP3 Protocol would help in downloading the email from that of the server for a single computer and in turn deleting the email from that of the server. Whereas on the other hand, IMAP would help in storing the message on that of the server along with synchronizing the message via multiple devices.
IMAP is considered to be a recommended as well as a powerful method for getting the email one would work via many devices whereas one would prefer to using the email accessibility offline. If one would contain a designated device for that of an email, then POP would be a specific option.
The IMAP is actually a common protocol meant for getting an email and IMAP would help in syncing the messages via every device and POP3 is a protocol meant for fetching the email on single devices and using this every email would be accessible offline as well as deleted from the server.
