There are many factors that might contribute to an elderly individual deciding to suicide. *Loneliness is one of primary cause. At the elderly age , the person is likely to have experience a multitude of losses like loss of spouse, friends, and staying away from the children causes more loneliness and leads to decided to suicide. *Depression and other mental and physical health Problems also determining factors in an elders decided to commit suicide. At elderly age ,person may feel lack if purpose for life us the main reason for depression,it leads to make isolation from community ,family . *Declining physical health in the aged is another factor contributing to suicide . Due to physiological changes in old age normal functions decline need extra attention of care from family ,when it lack ,leads to depression and make them to go for suicide.

Affect of suicide of elderly in family: *Family members feel guilt for the act off suicide of elder one on family. * Elders deaths in family make them socially isolated and it's manifest on health of family members. *Family members feel improbability for the act by elderly. *The families manifested suffering, sadness, and perplexity at the death of the elderly person , which influences and has repercussions on their dynamics and at an individual level. These consequences are different in each area depending on the experience the family had with act of suicide.
