Blood typing_ how do you find out to which blood group
someone belong?
This is experiment in immunology lab
I want method, results and discussion
Of detect ( A and B) blood
To determine the blood-type you need anti-A and anti-B antibodies.
method
Make three tubes
results
if there is agglutination seen in any of the first two or both, it suggests the positive results for respective antigen (A or B)
If a person has blood type A, the agglutination will only be senn in tube A, because only anti-A antibodies can act on antigen A present on RBCs of blood-type A.
If a person has blood type B, the agglutination will only be seen in tube B, because only anti-B antibodies can act on antigen B present on RBCs of blood-type B.
If a person has blood-type AB, the agglutination will be seen in both tubes 1 and 2, because anti-A and anti-B antibodies will act on antigen A and B present on RBCs of blood-type AB.
If a person has blood-type O, the agglutination will not be seen in any of the tubes because RBCs of blood-type O do not contain any of these two antigens.
