explain the difference between the thickness of the myocardial in the right and ventricles
Heart is made up of 4 chambers 2 atria one is rightatrium and another one is left atrium and 2 ventricles one is right ventricle and another one is left ventricle. Atria are upper chambers of the heart and ventricles are lower chambers of the heart.
Right and left ventricles have thicker myocardium compare to atria the reason is ventricles send the blood to out of the heart by applying the pressure.
The difference between right and left ventricles are supply of blood , structure of myocardium ,length, destination of blood and effort exerted.
The right ventricle pumps deoxygenated blood out from heart to lungs using less pressure, the left ventricle pumps oxygenated blood out from heart to whole body parts using more pressure compare to right ventricle.
The left ventricle thicker myocardium than right ventricle because left ventricle use more pressure to pump oxygenated blood to organs and whole body through arteries, right ventricle no need much pressure to supply the deoxygenated blood because it pump the blood to lungs only not the whole body.
The myocardium would then prevent the left ventricle from bursting as it pumps blood rapidly to all organs in the body. This is the reason left ventricle have thicker myocardium compare to left ventricle and atria.
