Name the ventricles and describe the relationship between the choroid plexuses, ventricles, and CSF
There are four ventricles. The right ventricle, left ventricle, third ventricle andd fourth ventricle. It is the communicating cavity within the brain.
Choroid plexus produces the cerebro spinal fluid in the ventricles of the brain. It consists of modified ependymal cells.
There is a region of choroid plexus within each ventricle where the cerebrospinal fluid is produced. The ventricular system is lined with ependyma connected by tight junctions and this makes the blood cerebrospinal fluid barrier. The ventricular system is continous with the centarl canal from the the fourth ventricle. This allows the flow of fluid.
CSF is produced by the ependymal cells and are filled in the ventricles of the brain and act as a cushion for brain and spinal cord.CSF flows to the third ventricle from the lateral ventricle .It enters into the third ventricle by an interventricular forameN.cerebral acqueduct connects the third and fourth ventricle. The CSF flow is caused by the transmission of arterial pulsations.
