1. Willingness to accept the characters: People in Tokyo had not their cartoon characters, so they were very excited to meet Mickey mouse and other cartoon characters of Disney. Due to such excitement, people in Tokyo were ready to pay for Disney’s resorts. On the other hand, people from Paris (France) had their own cartoon characters, so they could not relate with Mickey mouse and other cartoon characters of Disney.

2. Culture of Japan: Japanese people welcome Disney and the stories of Disney characters. They liked to enjoy foreign culture and learn history of Japan from foreign perspective. On the other hand, European people from Paris (France) felt that Disney is imposing Americanism in the Europe.

3. Lifestyle: Japanese people do not enjoy vacations frequently. So they enjoyed rides and other attractions of amusement park. The kids and parents could enjoy at the same time. On the other hand, Europeans do not like to go on long vacations, miss the schools of children, and spent more money. Moreover, Disney does not serve alcohol, and French people like to take wine during meals.

4. Economic reason: Disneyland Tokyo was started at the time of peak in the economy in Japan, and Disneyland Paris was started during recession. This impacted the initial visits of people.
