HOW WILL HEALTH EDUCATION CHANGE -

The history of health education started in 19th century but the scope of health education have evolved during 1950's , for understanding the changes in social and ecology influence on health .In 1960 's and 1970's , health education funding was a problem for teaching program and research .

Although funding continue to be problem, but in 21st century following the event of September 11,2001. There has been new interest in public health Education and promised increased funding.

Now , health Education is more changed as many graduate who work in public health are educated in other disciples like protection services , administration support services , environment engineering technician .

They are regularly send for training , schools are also offering different learner's , health education and Improve their educational approaches for practising public health workforce through short courses , continuing education and web based education which becomes an integral part of health education . With the ongoing epidemic of COVID-19 the health education will be more changing in future.

Reasons for changes

1. People are more focused on improving health and wellness, want to get more aware about health care facilities.

2. Change in health education boost an economy by reducing health care spending and lost productivity due to preventable illness.

3. Change in health education will also provide more job opportunities for people like career as an educator, health counsellor etc.

HEALTH EDUCATOR

With the change in health education the health educator must also know the responsibilities of them as an educator-

a. Implement health education and promote it among the community.

b. Conduct Evaluation and Research related to Health Education and Promotion.

c. Communicate , promote and Advocate for Health and spread awareness.

d. Assess needs ,plan for health Education and their implementation.
