Each of the following mixtures is placed in a dialyzing bag and immersed in distilled water. Which substances will be found outside the bag in the distilled water? Part A KCl solution and glucose solutionsan,PART B albumin solution (colloid),

Part C

an albumin solution (colloid), KCl solution, and glucose solution

Part D

urea solution and NaCl solution

Solutions

Expert Solution

Generally the solvent can move from low concentration to high concentration through the Dialyzing bag (semi permeable membrane).

If the molecule is the Ionic nature it Ionises its coresponding Ions, If the molecule is not having the Ionic nature in some cases accumilation takes place that results in to a big molecule.

Part-A:

KCl solution ionises in to its K+ and Cl- ions the glucose molecule can not Ionises. The KCl solution can move. some portion of the glucose solution also moves.

Part-B:

Albumin like proteins it can not dissolve in water

colloidal dispersion is a substance with components of one or two phases, a type of mixture intermediate between a homogeneous mixture (also called a solution) and a heterogeneous mixture with properties also intermediate between the two.

May some portion of colloids found out side the bag.

Part-C:

KCl can find the out side of the bag due to the Ionic nature.

Part-D:

NaCl is having the Ionic nature, The Urea can not Ionises. The NaCl can found out side the bag. That means in the Distil water.
