Nursing being a field of hard work, sacrifices, selflessness, and dedication, nurses always face challenges in work. They always try to do their best and rise to the level of the commitment required and are ready to face any adversities to save a life. For them, a patient’s life matters more than their lives and because of this, their lives are at risk. Joining a nurses union is of utmost importance whenever nurses’ rights issue such as safe working conditions arise, the union will stand up for the rights of the members regardless of the number of nurses involved in the issue. Union representation is a must while working in understaffed facilities with minimal pay; collective bargaining acts as an effective tool in members getting guaranteed wages and pay hikes, pointing to the importance of joining a union. Whenever there is an issue with job security or legal representation for any issue a nurse can always think about the significance of joining a union.
