This week’s content covered some overarching concepts surrounding how we understand liberal ideology and experiences shaped by appearance and history. It is important to realize that a foundational part of this course is understanding the liberal ideology that we have a social responsibility to one another. Based on the reading assignments, identify one area in American culture where we are exercising a liberal ideology and a social responsibility to one another and two areas where we are have room for improvement. Baldwin and Coates, for example, have provided areas for improvement related to colonialism/slavery and language/censorship. This first activity has a few goals: interact with a perspective/attitude that might be different from your own consider the life experiences of someone experiencing injustice acknowledge the value of cultural history It’s a good idea to begin by referring to your readings in your posts. Interact in your groups and be sure you have communicated with each of your group members' posts.
The U.S is a great Democratic nation which consists of many cultures, societies, religions and races. It is the most powerful and one of the most culturally diverse, socially developed nation.
Citizens of U.S are very open-minded and proud of their nation. They are freedom-loving people. They live with each other in harmony and peace. however, there are some racial, cultural and social conflicts also present in the society.
After the 9/11 Attack citizens of U.S were shocked and level of fear and insecurity was very high in them. In 9/11 Attacks around 3000 people lost their lives. It was enough to shock any nation from its roots because it was one of the cruellest crime ever made. It was an effort of terrorists to break integrity and unity of the Nation.
But the citizen of America showed great unity and integrity. There were many cases were Muslim people were helping Jews people, Christian people help Moslems during and after 9/11 attacks.
