Security issues related to nurses are caused by beneficiaries of the patient . Sometimes patients who may be mentally unstable , substance abusers may be aggressive and act against the policies of hospital may cause harm to nurses and health care professionals

So the hospital organisation should appoint efficient and trained professionals in hospital for safety of healthcare professionals.

Nurses and health care professionals may get infections from patients . The nurses may contract more severe life killing diseases from patients like HIV, tuberculosis, Ebola, Nipah etc. Any disease outbreaks may easily affect the nurses as they work more close with patients than physicians .

Patients may also get affected by healthcare professionals and nurses, if healthcare professionals donot follow proper handwashing and aseptic techniques while handling patients. Privacy is at risk of patients if healthcare professionals donot practice their ethical standards.

The nursing unit if broken may cause injury to nurses and health care professionals. The lighting , air quality should be good in nursing unit.Some intruders or any hospital staffs may try to access the EHR in hospital system in nursing unit to steal the information of patients may be a security issue.

Nurses may wrongly administer medicines to wrong patient if not following international patient safety goals.

DRUG DIVERSION:It is a medical and legal concept comprising a legally prescribed controlled drug like narcotics from the individual for whom it was prescribed to any other person for illegal use

ACCESS CONTROLS:Restriction of access to Electronic health records or any personal belongings or any place to which access is prohibited .

PHYSICAL LAYOUT:Location of a desired member with necessary equipments arranged in the area
