Electrons from NADH pass to ubiquinone via FMN, Fe-s . Electrons to a flavoprotein ( glycerol 3-p dehydrogenase) on the outer face of the inner mitochondrial membrane, from which they pass to ubiquinone. Acyl-CoA dehydrogenase ( the first enzyme of beta oxidation) transfer electrons to electron transferring flavoprotein (ETF), from which they pass to ubiquinone via ETF:Q oxidoreductase. Succinate dehydrogenase contains four different sub-units, C and D integral membrane protein, contain heme B, and a binding site for Q, A and B sub-unit extend into matrix, they contain three 2Fe-2s centers, bound FAD and A binding site for succinate. Electrons from succinate transfer to ubiquinone via FAD and 2Fe-2s centers. From reduce ubiquinone, electrons pass to cytochrome c via 2Fe-2s center of complex lll, cytochrome c is A soluble protein of the intermembrane space. After it's single heme accept an electron from complex lll, cytochrome c moves to complex lV to donate the electron to A binuclear copper center. In complex lV oxigen bind with heme a3, is reduce to it's peroxy derivative by two electron from Featured center. Delivery of 2 more electron from cytochrome c conversation peroxy derivative to 2 mol of water, with consumption of 4 substrate H+ from matrix.
