In your own informed opinion do you thin... What is your interpretation on how we measure Knowledge? In your own informed opinion do you think it is right or fair to say males are more intelligent than females due to the fact that their brains are on average much larger than females? Using what you have learned in this module, what other factors should be taken into account when measuring knowledge between males and females? Or is brain size the only way to measure intelligence?

plesae find the answer

In order to measure knowledge and intelligent in male and female on the base of there brain size is quit controversial because some vital feature are in male brain and some vital feature in female brain as following

Men and women's brains a differ in on the whole composition.

Male brains

Female brains

Male brains tend to have a slightly higher proportion of white matter

Females have a higher proportion of grey matter in most parts of the cerebral cortex

The cortex is less thick in men

The cortex is slightly thicker in women's brains

Hippocampus, a structure involved in memory formation, is on average larger in men

Hippocampus, smaller as compare to men

The third interstitial nucleus of the anterior hypothalamus is twice as large in males

The third interstitial nucleus of the anterior hypothalamus less in women

Conculsion

1.      In general way , we found that women tend to have considerably thicker cortices than men. Thicker cortices have been associated with higher number of a variety of cognitive and general intelligence tests.

2.      For the moment, men had higher brain volumes than women in every subcortical region they looked at, including the hippocampus (which plays broad roles in memory and spatial awareness), the amygdala (emotions, memory, and decision-making), striatum (learning, inhibition, and reward-processing), and thalamus (processing and relaying sensory information to other parts of the brain)

3.      In subcortical regions relative to overall brain size, the comparisons became much closer: There were only 14 regions where men had higher brain volume and 10 regions where women did.

4.      Volumes and cortical thickness between men also lead to vary much more than they did between women,

So that ,male participants’ brains were, in most measures, more variable than female participants’ brains is so interesting. It fits with a lot of other evidence that seems to point toward males being more variable physically and mentally.”
