Explanation:

It is safe to say that by 2035, the prevalence of diabetes in the Arab countries is estimated to increase by 96.2%. In order to understand the ways to control this condition, first, we have to understand the risk factors that are responsible for this increase in the number of people suffering from diabetes. It is the Type 2 Diabetes that people of Arab suffer mostly from and the risk factors contributing to this are the sedentary lifestyle of people, obesity, urbanization, and lack of awareness regarding the physical well-being and benefits of exercise. One more reason that contributes to diabetes in Arab countries is the genetic factor, as it is inherited along the generations which makes the children of affected individuals vulnerable to this condition.

To prevent the worsening of this condition, one approach could be conducting healthcare awareness programs. Due to the lifestyle and the eating habits of Arab people, they tend to store more fat in the body and this leads to obesity, which is one of the main causes for type 2 diabetes as it leads to the development of a condition known as insulin resistance in our body and hinders its proper functioning. By organizing the health camps and awareness programs, people can be taught about the Body Mass Index and how much weight is optimum for a particular person. If more people are aware of how diabetes works and how they can prevent it, then it is possible to bring down the percentage of population suffering from diabetes in Arab countries.

The second approach towards this problem is by approaching people and convincing them to go for medical check-ups as the chances of type 2 diabetes running in a family are also quite significant. Sometimes a person a nor obese neither consumes and significant amount of sugar products in his diet but still somehow gets affected with diabetes. The main reason for this is that the person had a family history of diabetes and he was also vulnerable to it by birth. So, if people are diagnosed with genetic factors contributing to diabetes, then they can take preventive measure to control this disease and prevent worsening of it beforehand.

The third approach that can be useful to prevent the worsening of this condition is to create awareness among the people to indulge in activities that require more of the physical work. In this way, they can improve their overall fitness and burn more calories which in turn will help them have control over their weight. Less obese people mean fewer diabetic patients and an overall decrease in the percentage of the diabetic population in the Arab countries.

The approaches discussed above are one of the many ways in which government can help to improve the health conditions of people of Arab countries when it comes to diabetes. A more active lifestyle with healthy nutrition habits can help Arab countries to tackle the tremendous increase in the percentage of the diabetic population.

Diabetes is one of the most occurring disease in people with a high sugar content and it is estimated that by 2035, almost there might be an increase in 96.2% of occurrence of diabetes in Arab. There are many reason why people suffer from diabetes out of which two most prominent causes are genetic disposition of diabetes and sedentary lifestyle with bad eating habits. Mostly, it is the genetic factors that play the most crucial role in increase in the occurrence of diabetes in the Middle Eastern region.

Three most effective ways by which Diabetes can be prevented are:-

  1. Start working out and physical exercise - One of the major causes apart from genetics is lack of physical activity which tends to increase the fat accumulation. Obesity and consumption of high glucose containing or sugar containing tends to increase the chances of diabetes. With regular workout and activity, it helps in keeping the normal blood sugar level in place by boosting the proper release of insulin. Maintaining a healthy life is very important and hence losing weight, reducing amount of fat accumulation and controlling intake of sugar and high carbohydrate food tends to keep the diabetes in check.
  2. Eat healthy food and cut down sugar - The prime reason for diabetes is due to the increase in the sugar concentration or high glucose concentration in the bloodstream due to inability of the insulin to convert it into glycogen. It is important to have a healthy diet that is a mix of high quality fibers which lowers the risk of cholesterol and hence improve the level of blood sugar. It also helps in lowering the diabetes related heart disease. The consumption of plenty of fluids and water is also very important. The consumption of whole grains is very important as it helps in maintaining blood sugar level. It is important to stop consuming high amount of carbohydrate as the sugar tends to be circulating in the bloodstream.
  3. Get check up done regularly - At times we are not aware of suffering from diabetes and hence it doubles up to many other conditions. It is important to consult the doctor and regularly check up so that diabetes can be taken care of and handled before it gets very severe. One of the most important changes that one needs to make is by reducing the intake of sugar food. It is more prone in people who are above the age of 45 and hence for such people check up regularly is important to reduce the impacts.

Diabetes is one of the most common disease which is caused due to increase in the concentration of sugar in the bloodstream due to inability of the body to produce insulin. A good and healthy lifestyle with controlled diet can help in reducing the negative impacts caused by the diabetes to the body. The predisposition of the genes can be also controlled by adopting a healthy and active lifestyle
