Research the accreditation program of the American Correctional Association and the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections. Discuss whether the accreditation and/or certification process improves the corrections system. Why or why not?
The fee on Accreditation for Corrections (CAC) is the official accrediting physique of the American Correctional association. Created in 1974, the fee is the authentic arbiter of accreditation fame for all facilities and groups. The commission is created from a representative body of corrections professionals from all areas of the subject- grownup corrections and detention, juvenile corrections and detention, community corrections, probation, parole, and correctional wellness offerings.
Fee members can also be ether appointed to their function by the President of the organization, or elected to their seat. Participants of the fee comprise administrators of Corrections, Sheriffs, detention center administrators, Superintendents, Parole directors, medical professionals, and other directors with experience in operating everything from giant agencies on the state or country wide degree to nearby amenities with a rather small staff and population. Presently, ACA, by means of the fee, accredits more than 1,300 facilities throughout the USA and the world. These incorporate Federal, state, neighborhood, and private amenities of all varieties and sizes beneath ACA's specifications.
