COX 2 Inhibitors are a type of non steroidal antiinflammatory drug. These are directly targets cyclo oxygenase 2 , an enzyme responsible for inflammation and pain. COS 2 is the enzyme helps on production of prostaglandins.Prostaglandins are hormones produced during chemical reaction at the site where an injury or other issues occur. This prostaglandins control several processes in the body, especially as it relates to the healing process and also stimulate the contractions of blood vessels and formation of blood clots.its natural healing process.

When we take COX 2 inhibitor that will effect normal healing process in body by inhibiting synthesis of prostaglandins. So these are in successful.     These drugs targets selectively for COX2 ,by this reduce the risk of peptic ulcers. COX 2 inhibitors increase the risk of heart attacks ,stroke and related deaths when compared with placebo effect. This risk may increase with duration of use and in patients who have underlying risk factors for disease of heart and blood vessels.
